Dermot Flanagan shares his knowledge
Ex club player and former two time all star Dermot Flanagan will give a talk on Coaching the Coaches on Monday evening, 20th February, at 8pm in the clubhouse. The talk is based on research that both Dermot and his son Jack have conducted on the importance of language in the coaching of Juveniles, aged 12 – 17. However, the talk is relevant to coaching of all age groups. The talk will give ideas on modern coaching methods, with emphases on how to communicate and interact with players during coaching sessions. Dermot helped coach our U17 team last year, while Jack was part of the Ballaghaderreen U17 team that won the Flanagan Cup in August 2022. Jack conducted this research as part of the Dermot Earley Leadership Programme while in transition year.
The talk is open to all club members and we would encourage as many as possible to attend.
