This weeks 50/50 lotto results

A very unusual winner this week, we had our first canine winner (Duggy Regan) of the Ballagh GAA 50/50 lotto jackpot. Luckily we were able to trace it's owner.
This week’s Ballaghaderreen GAA 50/50 draw was held at Clarkes Bar, Pound St.
Jackpot of €572 was won by Patrick Regan, Doogra.

The 1983 Birmingham trip

This announcement is to help gauge the interest of a potential reunion for members of the Ballaghaderreen squad, that embarked on the 1983 Birmingham trip.

The membership portal for Ballaghaderreen GAA Club is now open for 2023.

We look forward to welcoming new members to join our club aswell as returning members that wish to renew their membership. 

New members can register by creating an account on https://www.foireann.ie and selecting Ballaghaderreen, Mayo as their club.

For returning members, the fastest and easiest way to renew membership is online through  https://www.foireann.ie. Your username and password are the same as last year.

Cians' Sigerson penalty shoot out

Extra time was not enough to differentiate the two sides of Cian Hanley's TU Dublin and University of Limerick in the Sigerson competition. The score line at the end of extra time was University of Limerick 3-11, TU Dublin 1-17. TU Dublin won 3-1 in the penalty shootout. TU Dublin advance to the quarter finals of the Sigerson competition.

Mayo reclaim FBD title after 10 years

Congratulations to the Mayo senior team for beating Roscommon in the FBD final  with a scoreline of Mayo 0-13 Roscommon 0-9. The game was played at University of Galway Air Dome in Bekan on Friday evening. We wish Mayo and all club members involved in the Mayo panel the best of luck in the upcoming National League.

Andy is still walking

We are still continuing to support our club member, Andy Moran, and current Leitrim Manager who is participating in the the 50MileChallenge raising funds for Leitrim GAA and LGFA. If you would like to support Andy, donations can be given online by clicking here.

Colouring competition

Ballaghaderreen GAA Club have launched a “Design a Training Jersey” competition in association with GRG. The competition will be open to all primary school aged children and the winning jersey will be available to buy from GRG when chosen. As well as that the winner of the competition will get one of their personally designed jerseys to keep. Templates will be available from all local primary schools and must be returned before the deadline on February 20th. Please ensure to attach your Name, Class and School on the form.

Ballaghaderreen GAA would like to offer their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Pat Rowland, Lahardane, Ballina and also to the family and friends of Pierce Higgins, Ballyhaunis. Our thoughts are with them at this very tough and sad time.

The GAA National Draw is a vital fundraiser for the Club over the last number of years. This year we aim to sell a large number of tickets at €10 each, with all proceeds being retained by the Club. The prizes listed below are sponsored 100% by Croke Park. The draw takes place on 15th March 2023, so make sure you have your tickets got by then. Round 1 of The National Football League

Round 1 of The National Football League sees Mayo take on Galway  MacHale Park, Castlebar on Saturday 28th January, 7.30pm. The game is live on RTÉ2.

Club strategic plan

Thank you to everyone that attended our strategic planning workshop at the weekend. It was a brilliant brainstorming session and great to get so many enthusiastic people in the same room to discuss ideas and opinions. There will be more updates on the outcomes of the strategic plan in the coming weeks.
