After the famous victory over Cork, in Cusack Park, Ennis, the team made their way home to Mayo and with many tours and pit stops along the way, they finally made their way to Ballagh'. This evening they were greeted with a mass of cheering crowds as they showed off the U21 silverware for the first time in a decade.
While it is wonderful to have such a connection to the team, it was special to have our club president, Teddy Solan, welcome his son and Mayo U21 manager, Michael to the square of Ballaghaderreen. Having such ties with the team, friends, family and supporters alike turned out in support of this wonderful achievement.
Once again a massive thanks to Michael, John, Seamus, Shairoze, Ryan and the entire Mayo U21 team for the memories and also to all who turned out to support the lads this evening. A special time for both club and county.
